Staycation - (visit London and view the city from the river)

In the current economic climate, fewer people are entertaining the idea of a two week vacation abroad and are therefore seeking out a holiday experience without the bill at the end of it. They go about this in the same way they would a legitimate holiday in that they set a start and end date, plan things in ahead (attractions, sights etc.) all with the aim of avoiding routine and distancing themselves from their normal day to day life, all at the lowest possible cost. This trend for 'staycations' in 2009 is helping boost the local economy.

One of the best activities that will meet these 'holiday' criteria is a trip to the City of London. London grew around the River Thames so what better way to enjoy the City than by Thames River Boat. Choose some of the up or down river piers and you doon't even have to travel into London through the traffic. Simply book your boat to meet you in for example Putney and you can then cruise into London in style.
